Attending a round

The premium fan and hospitality destination at every round — a purpose-built zone combining competition viewing, fan experiences, sponsor showcases and food and beverage in one footprint. Inside it there are elevated viewing decks with unobstructed sight lines to the combat corridor, interactive gamer stations showing the tactical battle as it unfolds, brand activations, food courts and premium dining, team merchandise, and scheduled meet-and-greets with pilots and gamers. VIP suites within the Village add enclosed viewing, private catering and paddock walk-throughs for premium ticket holders.

All four days and all three series. Thursday opens the Village free to the public. Friday runs training and qualifying across the championship, the Propeller Series and the University Series. Saturday is the University Series sortie, Propeller Combat 1 and championship qualifying. Sunday closes with the University Grand Finale, the Propeller final and the Grand Battle.

Ear protection, sun protection, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear. These are outdoor sporting events at motor racing circuits, and you will be on your feet and in the open for much of the day.

A spectator guide is published in advance of every round with venue-specific detail: gates, timings, accessibility, permitted items and local transport. It appears on the round page as soon as the promoter confirms it.

Yes. Rounds are designed as all-ages family events with no age restriction on general admission, and the Village and fan areas are accessible to families. Two things to know: jet aircraft are loud, so ear protection is strongly recommended for young children and is sold at venue merchandise stands. And the pyrotechnic hit effects are part of the live show — smoke bursts and flash effects only, set off at safe distances from spectator areas under the IACSF Safety Manual.

Closer than you expect. Exclusion distances are set in the IACSF Safety Manual and enforced by physical barriers and personnel, calculated from aircraft speed, noise and the airspace profile. Within those limits, rounds are staged to maximise proximity. Low-pass sequences down the main straight are part of the standard format and are among the most intense moments in the sport. Exact minimums vary by venue and are all IACSF-approved.

Two cues fire at once. A pyrotechnic charge on the aircraft produces a burst of coloured smoke or a visible flash, readable from the ground and on camera without affecting how the aircraft flies. At the same moment the live scoring system updates on venue scoreboards and in the broadcast overlay, with the hit, the weapon type and the points.

Controlled access to paddock, garage and team areas comes with premium access passes and VIP hospitality, subject to safety and security requirements — not every technical or operational area is open to the public at all times. The Sky Village is the primary fan-facing experience and is open to all ticket holders.

Rounds are held at established motor racing circuits, which comply with applicable disability access requirements and provide accessible viewing areas, paved pathways through spectator zones, accessible restrooms and companion or carer provisions as standard. Specific provisions are published in each round’s spectator guide. If you have particular requirements, contact the events team ahead of the round and JWC will accommodate reasonable requests within the venue’s existing infrastructure.

Venues are chosen for favourable conditions in their event window, and rain does not stop competition. If conditions approach the visibility minimums in the IACSF Safety Manual, the Event Safety Officer alone can call a weather hold — competitors have no authority to decide whether conditions are acceptable. You will hear about a hold over the venue PA and on JWC digital channels in real time, and competition resumes as soon as conditions return to minimums. If a session cannot be completed on its scheduled day, make-up sessions may be scheduled within the event period under the venue contingency plan.

Between the Propeller final and the Grand Battle there is a mandatory hold for full airspace sterilisation and staging of all twenty team aircraft. It is not padding and it is never compressed. The Village stays open throughout.

Yes. JWC.tv, the league’s own service, carries every session live worldwide, and the app carries live timing and hit-by-hit scoring everywhere. Broadcast and streaming partners are being finalised territory by territory and will be named on the Watch page as each agreement is announced. Free highlights, session summaries and features go out on YouTube, Instagram, X and TikTok after every round.
