Three separate competitions
The three series
The Jet World Championship, the Propeller Series and the University Series share a weekend, a combat system and a brand. They are not a ladder. Each is judged on its own terms, and taking part in one confers no entitlement to a place in another.
Jet World Championship
The championship. Ten teams, twenty aircraft, forty athletes, one Grand Battle flown at full envelope every round. The ten licences are permanently capped — no eleventh seat is ever created.
Propeller Series
A competition in its own right. One spec aerobatic aircraft, league-owned and league-maintained, running the identical Combat System at 200 knots instead of 400. No budget advantage, no equipment advantage.
JWC University Series
A university programme. Six students from one institution compete inside JWC Combat and fly a real sortie on Saturday. At every round, the two winning Wings fly the Grand Finale in the jets on Sunday morning, Instructor Pilot in command.
Stated plainly, so nobody is misled
What each one is for
Ten teams hold perpetual licences and employ their own pilots and gamers. Hiring is entirely a matter for the teams. No other series feeds it, and no result anywhere else creates a claim on a seat in the Jet World Championship.
It exists to be won. Because it runs the same combat system in front of the same paddock, JWC teams can see its competitors clearly — but no team is ever obliged to hire from it, and most will not. Treat any interest as a possibility, never a plan.
It gives students a real competition, real engineering and media roles, and for a few of them a real flight with an Instructor Pilot in command. That is the whole offer. It is not a qualification, not a licence, and not a route into the Propeller Series or the championship.
The case for one calendar and one site
What they actually share
Thursday to Sunday is a single schedule. A spectator checking Saturday should not change websites to find the sortie that opens the day.
The same server-adjudicated electronic combat layer and the same broadcast data layer, at three different speeds. That is what makes the support series legible to a championship audience.
Championship sponsorship sells database and CRM rights as a single asset. Three separate sites would split that audience three ways and devalue it.
