University Series
Every round, two students fly a jet at full envelope. Win Saturday’s Class A Final and your Wing flies the Grand Finale on Sunday morning, Instructor Pilot in command. Getting there is free: register six students from one institution and compete inside JWC Combat. It is a competition and an education, not a qualification.

A limited envelope, so the score reflects the students' decisions rather than the flight crew's. The Pilot Candidate sits close enough to the aircraft to watch their own calls being flown, and holds no control authority at any point. No pilot licence is required. The two Wings that top Saturday's Class A Final fly the Grand Finale the next morning.

Sunday · two students, two jets
Every round, not once a season. The two Wings that win Saturday fly it head to head on Sunday morning, in two-seat competition jets with a JWC Instructor Pilot in command of each. Identical structure to Class A with the envelope removed — which is the point. At full envelope the flying matters again, and the students find out what that feels like.

What this is, and what it is not
What you get
A real competition against universities worldwide, run to published regulations. Six defined roles, so engineers, players, organisers and media students all have something to do. A flight in a competition aircraft with a JWC Instructor Pilot in command, and for the two Wings that win Saturday, a second flight in a jet at full envelope on Sunday — an experience very few people ever have. Footage of both, supplied by JWC, that belongs to your Wing.
What it is not
It is not a pilot licence, a logged qualification, or flight training of any kind. It is not an application to the Propeller Series. It is not a route to a seat in the Jet World Championship — those ten teams employ their own pilots and gamers and hire on their own terms. Nothing you achieve in the University Series creates a claim on a place in any other series. Enter it for the competition and what your team learns, not as a career step.

Safety is not negotiable
A JWC Instructor Pilot is pilot-in-command at all times. Either Instructor may call "knock it off" at any moment, for any reason or none, with no penalty to either Wing.
The Pilot Candidate may withdraw at any point up to the canopy closing, without being asked why and without penalty. A sortie terminated for candidate condition is scored as flown and never presented on air as a failure.
Floor 1,500 ft AGL. Published wind, visibility and cloud limits apply unmodified. If the sortie cannot be flown inside them it is deferred, never compressed.
